About this work
The edition begins with خلافة الحاكم بأمر الله in Patrologia Orientalis 23, p. 450, and continues through the disappearance notice in PO 47, p. 444. It preserves Yaḥyā’s sequence, repetitions, qualifications, reported speech, judgments, dates, and the printed lacuna.
The English was drafted directly from Arabic. The facing French was consulted afterward for collation; Tadmurī, Cheikho, and selected images of BnF Arabe 291 were used for additional checks.
